Yes. Lab grown diamonds are real diamonds. They have the same chemical composition, physical properties, brilliance, and durability as natural diamonds. The only difference is that natural diamonds are formed in the earth, and lab grown diamonds are created in a controlled laboratory environment.
Even professional jewelers cannot tell the difference without specialized equipment.
Lab grown diamonds are less expensive because they are created in a laboratory instead of mined from the earth. Mining, transporting, and controlling the supply of natural diamonds adds significant cost.
Lab grown diamonds allow clients to purchase a larger and higher quality diamond for the same budget compared to natural diamonds.
No. Lab grown diamonds look identical to natural diamonds. They have the same sparkle, clarity, color, and durability. Without specialized equipment, even trained professionals cannot visually tell the difference.
Diamonds in general should not be viewed primarily as financial investments. Engagement rings are emotional purchases and symbols of relationships. However, buying a diamond at a lower price typically puts the buyer in a better financial position than paying significantly more for a natural diamond.
Many clients prefer to use the money saved toward investments, a home, their wedding, or their future.
GIA is considered the gold standard in diamond grading. Their grading is consistent and strict, which allows customers to compare diamonds accurately.
Some other grading laboratories use looser grading standards, which can make diamonds appear better on paper than they actually are. Using GIA certified diamonds ensures transparency and quality.
Many people assume custom rings are more expensive, but that is often not the case. Because Secret Diamonds uses a cost-plus pricing model and operates with lower overhead than traditional jewelry stores, custom rings are often similar in price or less expensive than inventory rings from jewelry stores.
With custom rings, you also get a ring designed specifically for you.
From the time the design is approved, production typically takes up to four weeks. The total timeline depends on design revisions and scheduling, so it is usually best to start the process at least 6–8 weeks before you need the ring.
That is completely normal. Many clients start the process without knowing the exact diamond size, shape, or ring design. Your Secret Diamonds concierge will help guide you through diamond selection, ring styles, and design ideas.
You do not need to have everything figured out before starting.
Yes. Financing options are available for clients who prefer to finance the ring instead of paying the full amount upfront. Financing options can be discussed during the consultation.
Yes. We often design the engagement ring and wedding band together so they fit perfectly and match in design and style.
Yes. We work with clients purchasing diamonds of many sizes, and there is no diamond too large or too small for us to source and manufacture into a custom ring.
Yes. Once the ring is completed, it is shipped via overnight delivery.
Once the CAD drawings are approved, the ring goes into production. After production is complete, the ring is inspected, finished, and shipped to you.
Many clients return to upgrade their diamond for anniversaries or special occasions. Because we design custom rings, we can often help redesign or upgrade rings in the future.
Clients who read this book understand how the diamond industry works, how pricing works, and how the design process works. This makes the consultation more productive, more enjoyable, and helps clients feel confident in their decisions.
