Lab grown diamonds are less expensive because they are created in a laboratory instead of mined from the earth. Mining, transporting, and controlling the supply of natural diamonds adds significant cost.

Can people tell the difference between lab grown and natural diamonds?
No. Lab grown diamonds look identical to natural diamonds. They have the same sparkle, clarity, color, and durability. Without specialized equipment, even trained professionals cannot visually tell the difference.
Do lab grown diamonds hold their value?

Because Secret Diamonds uses a cost-plus pricing model and operates with lower overhead than traditional jewelry stores, custom rings are often similar in price or less expensive than inventory rings from jewelry stores.
With custom rings, you also get a ring designed specifically for you.
How long does the process take?
From the time the design is approved, production typically takes up to four weeks. The total timeline depends on design revisions and scheduling, so it is usually best to start the process at least 6–8 weeks before you need the ring.
What if I do not know what ring design I want?
That is completely normal. Many clients start the process without knowing the exact diamond size, shape, or ring design. Your Secret Diamonds concierge will help guide you through diamond selection, ring styles, and design ideas.
You do not need to have everything figured out before starting.
Do you offer financing?
Yes. Financing options are available for clients who prefer to finance the ring instead of paying the full amount upfront. Financing options can be discussed during the consultation.
Can I design a custom wedding band to match the engagement ring?
Yes. We often design the engagement ring and wedding band together so they fit perfectly and match in design and style.
Can Secret Diamonds source large diamonds?
Yes. We work with clients purchasing diamonds of many sizes, and there is no diamond too large or too small for us to source and manufacture into a custom ring.
Do you ship the ring?
Yes. Once the ring is completed, it is shipped via overnight delivery.
What happens after I approve the CAD design?
Once the CAD drawings are approved, the ring goes into production. After production is complete, the ring is inspected, finished, and shipped to you.
Can I upgrade the diamond in the future?
Many clients return to upgrade their diamond for anniversaries or special occasions. Because we design custom rings, we can often help redesign or upgrade rings in the future.
